Curtis Holder to feature as The Pastel Society’s invited artist at the Annual Exhibition 2023

I am honoured to have been invited by The Pastel Society to showcase my work as their invited artist at this year’s 124th Annual Exhibition in London.

The exhibition will feature new works by members of the Society and artists selected from an international open call. Alongside the rich diversity of pastel paintings on display, there will be a variety of works in other dry media: charcoal, conté, oil pastels, graphite, and coloured pencils.

I will be exhibiting two large multilayered coloured pencil works, ‘Family’ and ‘One Man And His Dog’.

The Pastel Society is pre-eminent in its field. It shows the work of leading contemporary artists, with a diversity of style and subject matter from the purely imaginative to the representational, in dry media.

Founded in 1898, the Society boasts many illustrious past members and exhibitors including Frank Brangwyn RA, Sickert, Whistler, Degas, Dame Laura Knight RA and, more recently, Gillian Ayres, Tom Phillips RA and Paula Rego.

You can visit the exhibition at Mall Galleries from 24 May - 03 June 2023.
