Guildford House Gallery announces artist Curtis Holder as winner of first Guildford House Open

It is honour to have been selected as the winning artist of the inaugural Guildford House Open at Guildford House Gallery.

I am incredibly grateful to now have the opportunity to stage a solo exhibition at the gallery next summer - a truly unique space in a beautiful historic building.

The Guildford House Open is a new annual exhibition and competition that showcases the best in contemporary art in a variety of mediums.

A big thank you to organisers at Guildford House Gallery, visual arts specialists Parker Harris and the panel of selectors including oil painter, Hayam El-Sayad; London art critic, Tabish Khan; sculptor, Will Nash and heritage professional, Lynn Szygenda for selecting my work for the show.

My drawing ‘Sunday 5:04 am’ (coloured pencil on paper, 145 x 124 cm, 2021) will be on display alongside a selection of contemporary works at the Guildford House Gallery until 04 January, 2024.
