Curtis Holder draws Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Week

I am excited to announce that I’ll be the guest artist on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Week on Sunday 14 March when I’ll be creating a portrait of the brilliant two-time Strictly champion, Oti Mabuse.

I’ve watched Oti’s amazing choreography and dance routines dazzle the dance floor each year on Strictly and I’m very much looking forward to getting to know her and capturing her personality on paper.

Hosted by Joan Bakewell and the Artist of the Year judges, Portrait Artist of the Week is a weekly paint-along featuring a celebrity sitter posing live from their own home each week.

The four-hour programme will be broadcast live from 10am - 2pm on the Sky TV Facebook page, and viewers all over the world will be able to join in the challenge and create their own portrait of Oti.

If you’re taking part, don’t forget to share your finished work on Instagram via @artistoftheyear using the hashtag #myPAOTW. The judges choose their top three portraits every week.

Viewers can also catch the last hour of the programme from 1pm - 2pm on Sunday on the Sky Arts channel.

I hope you’ll join us. Keeeeep drawing!
