‘Portrait Artist of the Year: Christmas Celebrity Special’ on Sky Arts to feature Series 7 winner Curtis Holder

Portrait Artist of the Year is returning to our screens for a special celebrity episode this Christmas and I’m back behind the easel taking on the role of one of ‘three wise artists’.

Six celebrities will take on a festive challenge to paint one of three well-known sitters with a little help from former winners, including Gareth Reid, Christabel Blackburn and myself. The celebrity sitters include Slade’s Noddy Holder, interior designer Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen and singer Mica Paris.

While there’s Christmas spirit in the air, the art is created under the watchful eyes of the discerning judges - award-winning artist Tai Shan Schierenberg, independent curator Kathleen Soriano and art historian Kate Bryan.

You can watch ‘Portrait Artist of the Year: Christmas Celebrity Special’ on Sky Arts at 8pm on Wednesday 21 December.
